Cashco, Inc. is pleased to announce conformity with European ATEX Directive 94/9/EC: Essential Health and Safety Requirements of the Equipment and Protective Systems in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres for the Valve Concepts Product Line. This includes but is not limited to the pressure vents, pressure vacuum vents, and emergency vents.

Materials of construction for the approval covers aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel.

Assessment Criteria: Each of these designs has been assessed in accordance with EN13463-1:2001 Non-electrical equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres - part 1: Basic method and requirements. This assessment includes analysis of the following risks: 1) Hot surface 2) Electrostatic Discharge 3) Electrical Sparking 4) Mechanical Sparking 5) Radiation 6) Adiabatic Compression.

Equipment requiring ATEX Approval should be noted at time of request for quotation. This will allow any projects that require "Certificate of Conformance" in accordance with the ATEX requirements to be processed accordingly.

With the completion of the full line of tank blanketing valves, tank vents, and associated tank fittings, Cashco becomes member of the API. Becoming a member allows Cashco/Valve Concepts to stay abreast with current issues and be able to meet the changing needs of its customers.
